5 Things to do in Ballina and North Mayo this month

Looking for ways to make the most of your time in the West of Ireland. Whether you're a local or just visiting, there’s something for everyone—from outdoor adventures to cultural experiences and great food.

Here are five things  to do this month:

1. West Coast Sauna Ireland

Located beside Enniscrone Pier, West Coast Sauna boasts breathtaking views over Killala Bay and the vast Atlantic Ocean.

Sea swimming involves immersing and swimming in natural saltwater environments such as the ocean, offering a range of physical and mental health benefits. The cold water can boost circulation, improve mood, enhance immunity, and promote mental clarity, while the saltwater itself can be soothing for the skin.

Following the sea swimming a sauna session is a way to practice recovery, especially in colder climates. The heat helps restore body temperature, relax muscles, and improve circulation, while also promoting a sense of calm and stress relief. This hot-cold contrast supports immune function and provides a powerful reset for both body and mind, making the combination a holistic wellness ritual.
